The Arizona Mazda club would like to announce that Lisa Yeager is our May 2008 Member of the Month!
Lisa joined AZMC back in October of 2005 with her Steel Grey Mazda 6! The nickname for her car is the Dustymobile named after one of her Pomeranians, Dusty. Her other Pomeranian is named Bandit. Lisa works as a Conference Registration Manager for a privately owned meeting planning and association management firm. She's originally from the Pinetop/Lakeside area and has an art degree from U of A.
Lisa has been very active within AZMC. Members have long known her for the custom painted parts that have been featured on various vehicles of other AZMC members. Lisa also worked with vendors to produce the AZMC lanyards that we now enjoy! Her love of chrome and unique styling has produced a vehicle which is both elegant looking and packs performance.
Lisa's 2004 Mazda 6 is easily recognizable from her 18" Panther Valera Wheels, Magnaflow Catback Exhaust, Black Racing Lip, as well as her custom painted engine covers!
Don't let the shiny wheels fool you. This ride also packs a CP-E Tunable intake, Eibach suspension, as well as a Mazdaspeed short shifter allowing this sleek Mazda 6 to put down over 200 WHP.

» AZMC Attends Fire It Up 2008! |
The Arizona Mazda Club attended the 4th annual Peoria Firefighters' Fire It Up car show at the Peoria Sports Complex!
This event has been one of the favorite local events for AZMC as it's always been well put together and the cars that attend are first class. This year was no exception with various low riders, huge trucks, and fast hot rods attending to just name a few. The Fire it up show does a top 50 award for the 50 best cars but this year they were sure to include a "best of" for Mazda since we have attended this event heavily in the past!
This year, AZMC brought nearly 15 vehicles and once again Camp Mazda was on site!
Taking home Best Mazda was AZMC's very own Flashwing who brought his 2005 Black RX8 out to support the club. This was his very first car show win since joining AZMC in 2006 so congrats Flash!
Thanks to all the people who helped put this event on! We're already looking forward to next year.

» AZMC Attends Jennabears Show |
The Arizona Mazda Club attended the 1st annual Jennabears car show at the Peoria Sports Complex in Phoenix Arizona! AZMC brought out 12 vehicles in support of the local Jennabears Foundation which provides teddy bears to children in the hospital. This foundation was formed when a local member of the automotive community lost his daughter in a tragic car accident.
The show was a huge hit bringing all different types of vehicles from drag racers, imports, hot rods, and even some off road vehicles. The majority of the vehicles there were classics and domestics but AZMC put the spotlight on the import community and put on a very clean display. Camp Mazda was fully setup with banners and lots of good laughs.
Some notable vehicles were a few of the Scion XB’s with very wild paint jobs, a S13 Silvia Convertible with a SR20 swap and a nice G35 with a twin turbo kit, vertical doors and a host of vendors selling car parts and stereo equipment.
Members in attendance were Red Bomber with his lowered P5, MazdaManiac with his turbo RX8, Easy_E1 with his RX8, Lazybusinessman with his 6, Flashwing with his RX8, Werm9 with his 6, Chickenwafer with his RX8, Swtblnde with her RX8, AZ lizard with his RX8.
