New Thread. The 2008 Southwest Mazda Meet is planned and confirmed. Like last year, the event will span the weekend, starting in Laughlin, NV on Saturday, October 11th and end in Lake Havasu, AZ on Sunday, October 12th. We will be passing through the towns of Kingman and Oatman over the course of the day on the 11th. Itinerary: Quote:
CLICK HERE FOR THIS YEAR'S ROUTE I am arranging for us to go carting at Havasu Hot Laps on Saturday night. These are the two hotels where we have reserved TEN (10) rooms: Laughlin, NV - Tropicana Express Hotel CasinoLake Havasu City, AZ - Americas Best Value Inn Lake Havasu City All rooms in the group reservation have been taken. If you still need a place to stay, I suggest contacting one of the people on the rooming list below. Of course, you can book your own room wherever you like through one of the popular travel sites like Travelocity or Orbitz. Rooming list: Quote:

Drinking and gambling FTW!!!!!
Just remember guys. The number one reason a lot of people didn't go last year was because of $$$. We only spent maybe $240 total. I know Bill spent even less than that because we paired up in Lake Havasu and split the $70 hotel room. The California and Vegas guys had like 6-7 people per room and they ended up spending next to nothing for the entire trip. Just a little advise to those that are worried about $$$. Work together and everyone can have a great time! Last edited by DuBy; 05-27-2008 at 10:42 PM. |

Yeah, the Pioneer isn't too high on my list.
Even though they knocked 10% off the rooms, It was a bit "spartan". At $50 a room, two people only have to sink in $25 each and they'll have a real bed at the Tropicana. |

sounds good to me...ill definitely post this up on vegasmazdas
jeff whatever you feel is best for everyone go for it! last year chris and i were looking to spend a pretty penny, but ended up saving in the very end! we're definitely offering to have people share a room with us again as well, it helps us and helps them in the long run! hell the more people in a room the better, its like a house party in a small living space hehe this is the official planning in progress thread correct? just wanted to make sure before i put up the dates...are the dates set in stone? october 10, 11, and 12? arrive in laughlin friday the 10th leave for our run on the 11th, spend the night in havasu and head back home on the 12th correct?

EVLTSTR start saving now!!! heheh just put a little a side for the next month or so...im sure you wont need more than $300 i believe for the trip (hopefully gas doesnt go up anymore...i doubt it), $50/month should do you good for hotels and money to have some fun with! =D then of course gas hehe. speaking of which i needa start saving eeeks! (pull hair out) Rotary Eddy, looking forward to meeting you, so you'll definitely drive down to laughlin to meet friday night? i believe kingman from what i remember is like 30 -45 minutes from laughlin right?
